The "monochromatic" trend is one that I believe is kind of timeless. This one trend can be tried regardless of what fashion dictates to be trendy, as long as it is done right. Remember, style is a matter of choice anyway. The look basically involves different shades of a single color or basically the same color. Anyone can pull off this trend as long as you start with a color that compliments you. Make sure your outfit is well tailored and shapely. This trend looks best when different textures are paired together to give the eye a visual break and you can also add complimentary accessories for extra "oomph" to your look. 

Accessories create a level of visual interest and help define the style of the outfit. They can include elements with elaborate trims and a variety of textures. The way you accessorize help you stand out! These pieces accentuate your look, creating a personalized look that is unique and beautiful at the same time.

PRETTY CONNECTIONS...

Gone are the days of making sure everything matches perfectly! We took a fun fashion risk with this vintage top and tweed jacket combination. You can combine some of your favorite patterns, prints and textures in order to make your outfits totally you and original. Patterns and textures adds personality and interest to tell stories about you and your style. It's a chic pairing for this classic day look, one thing sets off another!

Don't be afraid to style your prints. Accessorize to add a complementary touch! For this look I added a pair of retro earrings and a dainty pendant necklace, minimal pieces to enhance the tone. I extracted the black and gold color from the print and used it as an accessory color. Using prints to choose the colors of your accessories is a great strategy. Just make sure not to over do it. 

Last but not least outfit completers...these take the total look from good to amazing! They're the last minute pieces that make you go, "YES. Now the outfit works." You can definitely bring out your personality, color and fun with these accessories. Your style is your story!

Vintage fashion has always been around, it really hasn't gone out of style. It just made a serious rebound and the popularity is at an all time high for stylish, fashionable pieces. I found these chic and timeless pieces over at Suited For Success. The over-sized, camel, cashmere coat, it's a gorgeous cover-up, which is a perfect everyday topper. This piece will make a great investment, flatters almost any skin tone and can be matched with any casuals to cocktail dresses. Collar shirt dresses are a true closet keeper. They have shown up on the runways, this crepe wool one is simple and sophisticated, but we made it fun with playful pieces.

SNAKES AND LEOPARD ON THE PROWL...

Animal print especially leopard are all over the runway for winter 2016, and you don’t have to spend a fortune to look like a million. I pulled together these beloved pieces at Suited for Success women’s consignment shop and paired it with accessories from my store. The leopard print jacket added instant glamour to this yellow and avocado palette. You can make so many roars with this cozy and ladylike cover up, it can work with so many different looks.  

It's all about statement pieces for jewelry. Wearing a neck cuff and a hand cuff is so trendy right now, the snakes brought some funk to the outfit. Not to mention the cat eye sunglasses that have been all the rave last year. With the shoes and clutch it's all about the shape and hue...hunter green, it infused just the right amount of color into this outfit.

IN THE NAVY...

Chic-en up your winter style! Blue on blue is classic and sharp at the same time. It's flattering for daytime or nighttime, and less harsh than black. So sophisticated and effortless , you don't have to try too hard. Navy blue is a timeless color that will never go out of style, it works well with other classic colors. Buy blue well and it will last!

Combining textures of the wet look leggings and a ribbed turtle neck, makes the outfit much more interesting. Dazzle your friends with creativity, it's so many gorgeous textures to choose from.

The finishing touches...we all know accessories can make or break an outfit! Edgy pieces are all about studs and spikes. The punk rock chic necklace is a bit gritty yet glam to toughen up this look. Edgy jewelry goes well with a variety of styles, pick a piece with one or more elements and you'll be good to go!
