TAKE STYLE TO WORK

There are so many killer style ideas you can rock depending on your job. The classic look is the most common and easiest way to dress for the office. But no matter what, dress well and keep it chic! Remember it's all in the details, so add fun statement pieces to make a simple or classy look to make it pop. Dresses are easy, just slip on and zip. It requires little thought, usually no separates to coordinate, but if you feel like mixing it up, it's so versatile to show off your personal style. I paired this vintage shift dress with a turtle neck knit, opaque tights in the same color, sexy heels, adorned it with a brooch and a eye catching cuff to make this look totally pulled together and polished. You can also remove the top and add a blazer, cardigan, or leather jacket, it's your choice.

Any look you can dress up or down, it's simply all about the add-ons. Layer up! What you put over or under your clothes can simply transform it. Accessorize...brooches, bracelets, statement necklaces, sunglasses, shoes, boots, flats, heels, and even a eye catching belt can take a simple look and make it casual, tough, or elegant. Lean on your accessories to keep an outfit fresh.

While simple options are usually best for the office just remember you can always add pieces to give it a little more sizzle. Whether your choice of style is the classic look, business casual, carefree chic, sophisticated, or glamorous at the office, it's about expressing your personality, experimenting, enjoying fashion, and having fun with clothes. Your style is your story!

THE FASHION FLASHBACK!

Go groovy, get into the seventies spirit! This decade was all about rock-n-roll, culture, freedom, empowerment and breaking boundaries. That era was a good time for fashion and the trend is making a strong statement now and into spring. We're giving you a 70's uniform do over with today's spin on it. A retro glam silhouette with a turtle neck knit, high waist, elongated legs for days, bell jean and oversize sunnies. Finished off with the rabbit waist jacket, modern jewelry, a structured hat and chunky nude shoes. Pretty nostalgic and such a rich look, this is her moment! She's the coolest girl out there!

"Always dress like your going to see your worst enemy". Each day is a page in your fashion story, so stay funky, funky fresh, whatever your mood may be! True style is a unique personal expression. It's applying your imagination to the clothes you wear and how you live. It's a way of dressing to match your character that no one else can match. Showing the world the most amazing version of you every single day.

Being fashionable is not synonymous with spending lots of money...it's knowing how and where to shop! I believe every woman can develop great personal style to look like a million without spending a fortune! It's just a matter of determining what works best for you. Knowing what you like, what looks good on you, and how to build a solid and fun wardrobe that will help you feel pulled together and confident. When you get this down, you'll have a wardrobe that coordinates easily, fills your needs, flatters your figure and fits your body. Your style is your story!

DO IT WITH FLAIR!

"Style is knowing who you are, knowing what you want to say and NOT giving a damn." You don’t have to be like everybody else. You’re an individual, you might as well let it show! Do your own thing! Fashion is a way to show the world both who you are and who you want to be! Do what makes you happy and what makes you feel good, that’s what makes the best you shine through. So embrace your personal style…because it is personal!

"Being stylish means standing out…yet fitting in at the same time." Can you fit in and still maintain your identity? Yes, individuality is about how you present yourself and clothes are just a part of the package. Your body is a canvas, you are a work of art and your personality makes you supremely unique through your clothes. Explore the world of fashionable opportunities...after all, there isn't one perfect style, either. The challenge is to find the one that's perfect for you. So, wear what you believe expresses your personality, being true to yourself makes life simpler!
Fashion says ME TOO style says ONLY ME! Your style is your story!

STYLE REVOLUTION

Style is a more essential part of our lives than most people think. Clothes give us a clue about who people are and what they like, and provide us with an outlet to express ourselves every day. The way you dress telegraphs more about who you are then you realize. There is a saying, “Style because your personality isn’t the first thing people see.” Think of it as this way: Even before you get to crack a joke, introduce yourself, or say hello, people have made decisions about you based on the way you dress. Grant it some lucky people are just born with great style, great taste, and a great sense of color. But on the other hand for some it’s a daily battle with their closets and inner self. We all have an inner fashionista and I believe that every woman can develop great personal style. All it takes is the confidence and the know-how of what works best for you to look and feel your best every day.
Here is another great quote by Anna Wintour editor-in-chief of Vogue..."Create your own style. Let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others". All it takes is for you to have a clear understanding of your figure strengths, your lifestyle and what makes your heart beat faster, then you’ll be able to wisely choose your wardrobe, which will help you feel pulled together and confident without spending a fortune. I love it when women look fresh dressed like a million bucks! My blog provides a realistic, attainable and effortless approach to style. I strive to represent and help other fashion lovers to achieve everyday styles to look like a million without spending a fortune! So get inspired and be creative! Change it up a little or a lot. Creativity never goes out of style! There are no rules. Just have fun and dress for the most important person in the room…YOU!

IN THE NAME OF LOVE....VALENTINE'S EDITION (PART 1)

For Valentine's Day I did a little something special. This blog post and the one following is about two very unique, strong, loving ladies who are standing tall through their defeats, triumphs, and successes that many of us can relate to. If you don't love yourself...who will...How do you heal? They have found a new love for themselves and moving forward in all aspects! In transition of their journey, we took part in a twofold makeover collaboration of these inspiring women who unleashed their journey of weight loss, struggles and recovery. Let's take a look at their trending looks and what makes them a survivor of love.

"Fashion fade, Style is eternal." Meaning trends come and go but being stylish has real staying power. These five simple words from designer Yves Saint Laurent sums up the look and attitude of these women. Their eternal staying power to overcome and conquer it all! With a little bit of advice and encouragement I cheered them on to embrace all the positive things fashion can do for them.

Chelsea's look consist of denim and details. Which epitomizes the fun feel of the 90's, complete with embellishments and a pair of classic straight leg jeans, effortlessly combines a chic pairing. Accessorized with aviators, dangles and a cocktail ring, quite the conversation starter! I played around with sparkle and denim for a casual glam look for Valentine's Day. It's all about wearing what makes you feel special and all around fab!

Play up your strengths! Having confidence is always on trend. Whether you have a beautiful face, sexy cleavage, perfect shoulders or fabulous hair, use clothes to highlight your best features. It's all about adding to and never taking away from what you've got.

Let's find out what this motivating, inspiring, determined, beautiful young lady is all about...

In five words who was Chelsea?

AvoidantPleaser, Stifled, Complacent, Subservient

In five words who is Chelsea now?

Dauntless, Brave, Woke, Advocate, Athlete

What do you love the most about yourself?

The inner freedom I've granted myself to be expressive and sincere; whether it displays strength or vulnerability.

What’s your definition of love?

Love feels like genuine acceptance and looks like a mutual pathway to growth

What's something you do often to show yourself appreciation?

CrossFit has been an avenue to demonstrate gratitude to my physical and mental strength. The mental state the sport provides has guided me through minimal and life changing stressors. What better way to show appreciation than continuing to fuel my power. Shout out to Shockoe Bottom CrossFit!

What's something you love the most?

I love the feeling of achievement through growth, in myself and others.

"If you want to SOAR in life, you must first learn to F.L.Y (First Love Yourself)"
