FLATTER YOURSELF

Hey There Fashion Lovers!

What's not to love about the right dress? Go ahead and flatter yourself! It's innate femininity can be an instant mood lifter for you and they are a quick fix to fabulousness! It's all about the add-ons. Curvy, short, boyish, small or full bust there is the right style to showcase your shape best, to have you looking totally pulled together and polished. This twenty something year old gal is feeling flirty, sophisticated, confident and having fun with this wrap style dress that flatters many shapes.

Most dresses are versatile. Want to dress it up? Dress it down? Dressing your dress requires add-ons. With that said, if you do feel like mixing it up, you can show off your personal style. What you put over or under your dress can transform it. Add a blazer, add a cardigan, add a leather jacket your choice. Accessorizing with flats, boots, sandals, or heels can take a simple dress and make it look casual, dressy, tough or elegant. A dress with a clean neckline can show off a statement necklace, and a loose shape can be cinched with an eye-catching belt.

Knowing your shape and learning how to dress to accentuate your best features is the most important thing in how you dress. There is no such thing as the perfect body type. Girls who are petite want to be tall. The tall ones want to be tiny. The curvy ones want to be flat, and vice versa. Instead of obsessing over what you're not, why not realize that you are who you are and make the most of what you've got? Again...no boby's perfect.

Flatter yourself by dressing your best! Here are a few simple rules to keep in mind.

1. Call attention to the parts you really like. If you love your legs, wear a loose fitting top and slim fitting jeans or a short skirt.

2. Use color to your advantage. Brightly colored clothes makes parts stand out, while dark colored clothes helps them hide a little.

3. Super cheap clothes never last. It's great to grab a bargain but sometimes better to spend a little bit more.

4. The neater your clothes are the better. Pay attention to the fit, fabric and proportion. Whenever clothing pulls or buckles, it not only looks sloppy, it also adds pounds. A good fit means that clothes skim the body showing curves without clinging to them and all the details should lie flat. Also check the quality, weight and movement of the fabric. Stay away from stiff, boxy or too thin or shiny that may cling or add pounds. Flattering your figure is not just about camouflage and diversion it's also about balance. The length of your legs to your torso and the width of your shoulders to your hips. These things matter!

URBAN LUMBER

Hey Fashionistas!

It's time to get in touch with your outdoorsy side...no wood chopping skills required! Lol Just sprinkle a touch of the lumberjack/gingham checks for spring into your look. I threw on a black and white fashionably plaid shirt to round out the look. Sometimes the best ensembles are a balance of masculine and feminine. It brings a touch of character and interest to an outfit. I'm giving off a hip downtown direction especially when paired with these super comfortable, flattering denim leggings. The stretchy and slim fit fabric helps shapes your body and butt. Again, it's all about mixing strong with sexy! I accented the outfit with yellow to bring pops of color and a dose of fun into the spring look. The shoes, handbag and jewelry elevated the whole ensemble.

Accessorizing is key to complement any apparel. The pieces you choose should reflect your personality, make your outfit more exciting, and have a balanced and effortless look. Find ways to mix and match with your jewelry so they complement each other. Be free don't take accessorizing too seriously! There are no absolute rules about style. Have fun and don't care about what others think. Don't lose your vision by letting judgement take control. Bring out your outgoing and fun loving nature that your friends and family know and love by dressing to define your identity. Be you, do you, and everything will be fabulous. Your look will turn heads and beckon others to gravitate in your direction. Because the outfit mirrors your personality. Accessories make the outfit!

What's your favorite fashion trend right now? They're great for giving you ideas and you don't have to get in on every one. Just don't be afraid to experiment a little to weed out the trends and fashions that won't work for you to find those that will. Style is ageless because it's about identity...a personal twist on something. It's a true unique personal expression.

CHILLY IN THE SPRING

Hey Fashionistas!

Don't box up those oversize knits just yet...it's still chilly in the spring! Just because it's May doesn't mean you have to dress like it's May if it still feels like February! We've been having some serious bipolar weather, which is annoying. I'd say this is a temperature-based thing, not seasonal. So it's perfectly OK to wear your sweaters now, it's that weird time of year where it's too warm to throw on a topcoat, but not yet hot enough to go layer less.

Knits are on trend right now and I'm sure you could find creative ways to rock a C.U.T.E piece this season. I paired a lightweight knit with distressed denim and an oversize crochet for a casual day. Catch the cool breeze in open weaves, loose crochets and cotton blends, they are practical options for this transition. Style your sweaters and dress them up by adding a purse, ladylike shoes and or a statement necklace. For an extra flair put on some sunglasses and say hello to spring.

You can look chic, polished and totally stylish in this wear anywhere essential. Layer it over breezy dresses, linen trousers, fun leggings and rolled up jeans during this transitional season. Sweaters are a versatile cozy top, something that you can rock from day tonight. Great for cool night time hang outs and crisp morning coffee runs. Whichever style you choose, you will look simply perfect! There are no rules!

EVERYDAY STYLE!

Hey Fashion Enthusiasts,

Style is more of an essential part of our lives than most people think. Clothes give us a clue about who people are and what they like and provides us with an outlet to express ourselves everyday. The way you dress telegraphs more about who you are then you realize. There is a saying, “Style because your personality isn't the first thing people see.” Think of it as this way: Even before you get to crack a joke, introduce yourself, or say hello, people have made decisions about you based on the way you dress.

Your overall image, style and persona is your individual story. Your style reveals the secret aspect of you. Your style story is all about unspoken communication. Personal style is not only expressed in what you wear or how you wear it but, it is also woven in who you are and what you believe in. Never let style just be solely by personal appearance. But, also by your character. You have heard many times that first impressions matter, when you think about your style story reflect not only on you as the person but also as the persona that you wish to give off.

What you don't realize is that the messages you pay attention to hinders your ability to be powerful, empowered, confident, self-assured, dynamic, as a woman working on your confidence in what you wear, who you are, what you say and what you do matters. I feel we all have an inner fashionista and I believe every woman can develop great personal style. Granted some lucky people are just born with great style, great taste and a great sense of color. But on the other hand for some it’s a daily battle with our closets and inner self. However, all it takes is confidence, the know-how of what works best for you to look and feel your best everyday.

I am passionate about helping YOU look your best. Let me style you today or help get you ready for your next event! Everyone has their own unique style and it’s so important that your clothes fit your personality and make you feel confident. You have to go beyond the basics to glam it up, so give yourself the attention you deserve each day. I believe by taking that little bit of extra effort in caring for yourself, you will increase your self-esteem and attract positive energy! I believe fashion is a way to show the world both who you are and who you want to be! C.U.T.E wants women to know that when you do what makes you happy and what makes you feel good, that is what makes the best you shine through! So embrace your personal style…because it is personal!

GET SPARKLY FOR SPRING

Hello Fashionistas!

Spring is big on the bling for day and night attire! Stand out sequins can be your go to trend. This edgy play on black and gold is perfect for day or night for you to shine bright! The attention grabbing trend has been modernized for everyday for you to outshine the sun. So hit the scene in a casual glam style and all eyes will be on you!

Denim and sequins doubles your styling. The refreshing pair gives you so many options for a multitude of occasions. Swap out the denim for leather pants and add a denim jacket. How about a distressed denim pencil skirt, shorts or slacks and a blazer? Whatever you choose you will feel all around fab!! But don't forget to create some balance and mix one bold piece at a time. This boxy top balances out the high waist skinny leg jeans.

Sequins are a girl’s best friend! There is nothing wrong with a little bit of sparkle and shine in your everyday wardrobe. Top off your summer with must have fun shapes and embellishments. All the shine, the sparkle, the shimmer and the glitter is so glam and makes it perfect for any occasion on your calendar. So shine bright like a diamond!

CLASSY YOUNG LADY

Hey there Fashion Lovers,

Being in your 20's is a crucial period in a woman’s life: It’s a transitional time when a girl discovers her true self and really becomes a womanYou can still be classy and sassy in your 20 something's. Dress to impress your appearance will attract the right people. Anyone can wear hoochie mama outfits, so dare to be clothed. Dare to be different, sophisticated, mature, responsible, classy looking and acting. Learning to be creative within these bounds will actually make you more original. Plus confidence is key for any 20 something who is about to take on the world!

The most wonderful thing about fashion in my eyes has always been the opportunity to be unique and expressive with how you look. As you develop through your twenties, you might find your image and personal style adapts or even changes completely. There is nothing wrong with this, and in fact it is a natural part of growing up. You should take the time to consider exactly who you are and the image you want to project through your clothes. Please don’t take yourself too seriously; just make sure that your outfit choices and the pieces you wear represent you and not a clone of somebody else. Fashion is a very personal form of expression and should be utilized as an extension of our personality.

As we mature so should our style and this can only help us look our best. You will still find yourself experimenting with new pieces or looks you might not have considered before, but again the most important point to take away is that your clothes should still reflect who YOU ARE at that point in time. This does not mean you have to pigeon hole yourself into a particular look or style. Many women like to dress differently each and every day depending on their mood. One day it might be hard and edgy, the next clean cut and minimalist, the next quirky heritage etc. etc. the key point to take away is that you can still show who YOU are via little touches such as accessories, detailing, color/pattern/fabric choices, modifications and the like. Maintain your own style. Stay strong, stay beautiful, stay confident but most importantly stay YOU.
