BLACK AND WHITE NO GRAY AREAS

Pretty much what you see is what you get with this Diva. She pulls no punches and it's straight with no chaser. It's black and white with no gray areas! Her confidence tells it all...sexy, lovable, intelligent, noticeable and kind. She wears it very well, owning her outfit looking chic and fabulous. Your style is what makes heads turn when you walk into a room. This striking combination of black and white stripes with the contrast of pink is eye catching and a great compliment to her bright personality. Tameeka loves her body and isn't ashamed of being plus size. With the dress hugging her curves in all the right places, can't you tell she's ready to show it off to the world!

When wearing stripes don't be afraid to accessorize them. I freaking love the look of black and white it looks great with pretty much any color and looks amazing on all skin tones. You can do so much to contrast this monochromatic style, but I went for brighter accessories to pair it with for more emphasis. The brighter and more saturated the color, the better it will look. It made this outfit fashion blog ready!

Style knows no size or color, so embrace who and where you are and stay true to yourself in the midst of it.

Remember your style is your story!

PHAT AND FIERCE

Hey Beauties,

I would like for you to meet Tameeka Ms. Phat and Fierce owner of Meeks Organic Sweetz, lover of all things fashion, hair and health. With her vivacious personality, infectious sweet spirit and audacious attitude her confidence jumps out the screen at you in these images. Who said big girls can't be fierce? Hunty she is a force to be reckoned with! I love that she has no problem breaking all the rules and dancing to the beat of her own drum! When I approached her about this feature, there was no hesitation, she was like "Hell yeah let's do it"!!

Tameeka is fearless in everything she does and was very open to allowing me in her closet. She has great taste and a good sense of how to dress her body but, with her busy schedule barely gets to rock her stuff. So this was the perfect timing to show off her amazing style. We had crazy fun playing dress up and this is one out of 3 looks I put together for her. I chose this v-neck wrap dress by Eshakti. It has cap sleeves, ties at the waist and flairs from the hips. This style flatters many shapes and looks amazing on her. It's super luxe, chic and sophisticated! The navy and white nautical, crisp and clean graphic color duo is hot for spring paired with bright colors makes it look chic and fun. You can wear this color all year around, navy blue never goes out of style!

To pull the look together I used bold and beautiful, make-up and accessories to match her style and personality. Fierce, fab, sexy and so much more! She embraces every inch of her, allowing her confidence to define her. Stay tuned for the rest of her looks. #GetStyledByCUTE #LookLikeAMillionWithoutSpendingAFortune

COLOR COMBINATIONS

Hey there Fashionistas,

Here's a really simple way to pull off a black and white look. This color combo is a quick and easy way to look stylish without putting too much effort into your look. However, they can look boring sometimes and go unnoticed. But it all comes down to how you accessorize it! By wearing clothes with interesting cuts and styles will add some spice to it. As you can see from the picture, pretty much I just threw on a basic white crop tee but, with a knot at the waist. This is the perfect top for spring and warmer summer days. The skirt is a stretch jersey fabric with a flare bottom that can be worn several different ways. I love the way this style fits. It's figure flattering, accentuating my curves by fitting at the waist, hugging my hips and flares at the knees. Skirts can give women an attractive, feminine look if they are worn right.

Make sure you accessorize right. To finish the look I focused on a color. This gave the outfit balance and made it a bit more stylish and chic. I wanted to keep my look clean so I chose delicate jewelry and a fancy bag. Rely on your accessories to pull your look together. Gold accents and bright hues are super ways to add a twist.

You can make any monochrome look more interesting and fashionable. Just use your imagination and creativity to add spice and express your style on a whole new level. How do you wear your black and white? What do you think about my look? Let me know in the comments below if you have any other tips and tricks.

NEUTRAL ZONE

Hello Fashion Enthusiast!

The spring runways were flooded with lots of neutral shades paired together to create a beautiful monochrome look head to toe. For years gray have been given a bad rap and is now a huge trend this season. It has replaced nude as my "neutral" staple. The warm and calming color really adds a pop yet sophisticated air to any outfit. I love mixing blue with gray, but it is an incredibly versatile color that you can wear in many different ways. It looks great with soft pastels like baby blue and pink, it's great to combine with white and a pop of color and looks fresh and modern with brighter colors. I chose to accessorize it with a metallic clutch, light blue denim shoes and clear lucite accessories which are the perfect complement.

Trends are a great way to get inspiration for your outfit. The easiest way to incorporate trends is to pick a couple key pieces (a dress, jacket, skirt, blouse, or shoe) and mix them with neutral clothes from your closet, simple accessories, and fresh makeup. Head on over to your closet and see which colors and trends are already there and start creating some outfits!

The spring palette is straight out of the garden. A mixture of bright spring bulbs, daffodil yellows, tulip reds and oranges, crocus purples, hyacinth blue, and crisp spring greens are tempered by the earthy shades of sweet cantaloupe, dogwood pink, fresh wheat, lichen green, and heather gray.
The earthy undertones of all the shades make wearing and matching them a snap. Pick any 2 or 3 colors, mix them with your favorite neutrals and voila, you’re instantly modern and chic. The look can be classic or eclectic depending on how you put them together. I love this sporty tank dress, the sleek departure is ready to wear anywhere, uptown, downtown or out of town. With the skimming silhouette and endless accessorizing potential it can go from day to night for maximum style with minimal effort. Its cut from a soft matte jersey with side seam ruching that defines my waist, has a flattering neckline and shows off my legs.

I know some of y'all closets are already stocked with great styles and colors for spring. So just add a few accessories with a little sparkle, metallic shimmer or lucite that's all you need to make a look oh so sophisticated. Dresses abound in every possible shape and length. Choose the ones that fit your style, body, dress-code or mood. Shorter styles allow us to show a little skin and still leave a lot to the imagination. They can also be worn over pants if your legs aren’t ready for that much sunlight!

Remember your style is your story!

RETRO GLAM

Hey There Fashionista's,

We are often introduced to new trends, but some just keep repeating themselves and refuse to die. There's that saying "What goes around comes back around again", and it looks as though the resurgence shows no signs of slowing down! Fringe has been trending for the last two seasons, it's not only fun, but figure flattering too! It's all about the 70's baby. This fringetastic flashback has a retro glam silhouette with a big statement factor! With the swingy car wash style trim, oversize round sunglasses and chunky heels to balance out the glam, I'm 70's chic and trendy-smart! I'll fit right in at the Coachella festival, just in a more modern way.

Fringe is having a well-deserved moment and is swinging harder than ever. For those of you who aren't too keen on the vibe, no worries, there is a lot more to the season than simply looking to the past. But, however, there are some pieces that will transform your closet like this faux suede slip dress. I can wear this is in so many ways, the possibilities are endless. One way is layering a denim shirt tied at the waist with some cowboy boots or with a white crisp shirt belted and pumps. Another way is adding a cut out knit on a cool night with ankle boots or sandals. For a more laid back feel I can put on a baggy sweatshirt with a pair of low top chucks. During the fall you can add tall boots with a fitted blazer or a cropped denim jacket. Laying this look is perfect with tights as well during the fall, add ankle boots and a fitted turtle neck, and there you go! The flow of your creativity should never stop at one look or style. There are multiple ways to mix and match your wardrobe to maximize pieces.

Accessories make the outfit and are a great way to update and maximize your wardrobe as well! For a stylish, modern look, I chose pieces that accentuate the style of the dress. A sophisticated pair of strap around sandals, a gorgeous chic necklace and cocktail ring to top off the look. Fringe dresses give an appealing touch to your personality, so if you want to look sexy and stylish this summer then do give some space to these fringed dresses in your wardrobe.

Remember your style is your story!

AIRY SOPHISTICATION

Hello Fashion lovers,

We saw elements of sheer last year and it has popped up again on the runways, but this season’s styles will be light as air! From illusion mesh, cut outs, sheer finishes and inlays...what will you try? Trends are great for giving you ideas, you just have to weed out the trends and fashions that won't work for you and find those that will. Well, I love trying new things and staying on top of trends...So, I had to get in on the action! I flaunted my curves and confidence in this stunning lace bodycon dress by Material Girl. The olive shade compliments my skin tone and paired with some happy brights, it pulls it all together. A sheer detail dress will leave just enough to the imagination.

Adorn your sheer frocks with the right pieces that complement the neckline and silhouette of the season. I chose metal intense statement pieces that served as contrast along with the bright orange and tangerine to keep a summery look and feel. Accessories can make an outfit extraordinary, it gives you a chance to play with fun colors and give your outfit a boost. They will help you bring out the best features of your wardrobe.

Sheer clothes in broad day light? Yes, they can take you from day to night! If you want to get away with wearing the trend look for strategically placed or edged in panels. Cut outs and sheer inlays are an easy and sophisticated way to test the trend without diving in headfirst.

What sheer looks have you seen and like the best? Are you excited about the sheer styles for spring? What will you wear now?

Remember your style is your story!

NEON IS A FACTOR

Neon is a factor this season and the brighter the better for me! I love experimenting with color. The vibrancy of the shades brightens your eyes, keeps you energetic, fun and happy. If you wanna give your wardrobe a reboot, have fun and play with color, add some new hues to your basic tones. They will perk up any shades and even out your skin tone. Choose your colors...the right one can do wonders!

Keep it chic! The contrast between neon with classics or neutrals keeps the look fresh and modern. Wearing the neon style is equivalent to texting in all caps, so you've got to be ready for it! But if you can't imagine matching your highlighters Lol, it's okay! Just add a pop of neon in with your jewelry. Pairing it with a simple white tee is an easy way to inject it into your wardrobe.

These days, the best part about fashion and trends is that almost anything goes. Practically nothing is off limits. So experiment with lots of different colors. Fashion is all about taking a risk. Being brave with color can be totally liberating! In fact, layering prints/patterns and coming up with unexpected color combinations are two great ways to stretch your wardrobe and give yourself dozens more outfit options without stepping foot in a store.

Remember your style is your story!

FRINGE FASHION

I am keeping the 70's vibe going and I am bringing you some fringe today! This style is making its way back with a vengeance. Fringe can be seen on an assortment of items right now, including tops, skirts, booties, accessories and more! It adds an element of fun and flirty to a variety basics and sophisticated shapes. When mixed with the right pieces and accessories it will make you stand out on an average day!

For this look, I took my classic denim shirt and paired it with my fringe skirt to liven it up. But I was daring enough to go a step further and added a pop of color with the orange fringe sandal for the ultimate statement. It jazzed it up and made it more fun.

Don't be afraid to try something new, experiment a little. True style is a unique personal expression. It's applying your imagination to the clothes you wear and how you live. It's a way of dressing to match your character that no one else can imitate.
Remember your style is your story!
