IN FULL SWING

For those times when you want to feel feminine in an instant, there's no better solution than to pull on a skirt and a pair of heels. You don't need a special occasion to wear a skirt, even if you're running to the grocery store, your favorite flirty wardrobe item lets you flash a little skin in a flattering, sophisticated manner. With this warm weather approaching show off those legs! Skirts are in full swing this spring. I wore this voluminous, past the knee style with a beautiful floral print on the front. Then I threw on a cropped denim biker jacket over a mint green faux suede body suit to show off my waist and keep my leg line long. With pleating, tucks or draping a full skirt is a romantic choice that is flattering for most women. 

Skirts flatter your figure! This feminine staple should both show off your legs and highlight your physique. Because I am short, I love pencil skirts, minis and narrow as opposed to very full. A good rule: The fit of your top should be the opposite of the fit of the skirt. A reliable length for most is between the top of the kneecap and about an inch below. So a full skirt should be paired with something fitted like I'm wearing. Stick with a swingy material that moves with your body, like a light weight cotton, chiffon or satin. Use accessories to play up the skirt's color. 

Focus on your accessories. Small details like sunglasses, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, scarves, hats, shoes, belts, and pins help define your style like nothing else and can work as quick change tricks, switching up the style of an outfit in a snap. Even if you live in jeans and T-shirts, the way you accessorize will help you stand out in a crowd. 

True style is a unique personal expression. It's applying your imagination to the clothes you wear and how you live. It's a way of dressing to match your character that no one else can imitate. So don't be afraid of experimenting a little, because there are no absolute rules about style. As your taste change your style will also change. But the things that make you, you will be constant...stay true to yourself!
